Noise Pop was created in 1993 to celebrate independent music and culture throughout the San Francisco Bay Area—so it's older than most ravers out there! Bassheads rejoice! The first Southern California bass festival of 2023 is here and it's Basscon Wasteland. With acts like Audiofreq and DJ Anime, you're going to lose your mind! When Gary Richards, aka DESTRUCTO announced that he would be leaving the annual cruise HOLY SHIP to Live Nation in 2017, he announced that something new was coming. FriendSHIP ushered in a new era for the HARD-founder's cruise festivals, and brought with it the same good vibes and family that ravers knew and love from HOLY SHIP. 2023's FriendSHIP is back! While it's not technically a music festival, SXSW is the place to be if you want to see where music, film, and tech cross paths within the industry side. The perfect way to end the festival season—for fans of camping festivals at least—is with Dirtybird Campout. The annual event takes place somewhere in California (it's moved several times) and brings the old school summer camp vibes with camp games, good music and good vibes. The biggest EDM festival of all moves to Orlando each November for an East Coast version. While I have heard it's a little bit stripped down compared to the Vegas festival, EDCO is still an epic festival from Insomniac. Get tickets here.
