Packing for a camping festival can be extremely daunting, especially if you are traveling to another state. Not only do you have to worry about the things you need inside the festival, but there are a lot of things you will need outside of the festival as well. We've got you covered! Here is the ultimate camping festival packing list, print it out and use it as a checklist so that you will have an amazing time both in the festival and your campsite.

Camping Festival Essentials

  • Ticket (wristband)
  • Camping pass
  • Hydration pack or backpack that follows festival guidelines
  • Kandi
  • Wallet (with ID)
  • Chapstick (Unopened)
  • Gum (Unopened)
  • Face mask (especially useful for dusty festivals)
  • Portable Phone Chargers
  • Flow Toys (some festivals don’t let people bring them in so make sure to check festival guidelines ahead of time)

Campsite Essentials

  • Tent
  • Canopy (Not necessary, but it can get hot sometimes so having one is definitely a lifesaver for shade!)

  • Sleeping bags
  • Blankets/Pillow (It can get cold at night, even in the desert)
  • Air mattress/air pump (Not necessary but nice for comfort)

  • Camping chairs
  • Flag (this will make finding your campsite a lot easier)

  • El-wire or LED lights to help find your tent at night.

  • Water (one gallon per person per day)

  • Non-perishable Food (if you don’t have a cooler)
  • Propane Stove (optional but it’s amazing to have)
  • Dishes/Silverware (Bring reusable ones to be eco-friendly)

  • Alcohol if you’re 21+

  • Soap/shampoo/conditioner (a lot of festivals have showers that you can pay for, some will end up being free depending on the festival)

Remember, many camping festivals adopt a Leave-No-Trace policy and encourage festivalgoers to leave absolutely no trace behind. Once you've taken down your camp at the end of the festival, make sure there are no pieces of paper or plastic left behind (glitter counts!) and dispose of your trash in appropriate locations. Always leave the earth as you found it and have fun!
