I remember how shocked I was to discover that Rezz, a woman, was making heavier, darker music in a predominantly male-dominated industry. The sinking realization soon followed - if I, as a woman, was surprised by another woman’s success, how prevalent was sexism in the EDM community as a whole?
Women such as Wenzday, Festfashions, Tasha Tripp and Claudia Pena are all a part of a movement focused around fighting sexism and shaping the EDM industry into what its meant to be- a community of love, equality and acceptance for all.

So, I sat down with a few fans (and new friends of mine) of all ages to gain their perspective on EDM and how it has impacted their life.
