Because this article isn’t about the basics. Let’s talk about the things you’ll want that nobody really tells you about. Some say the smart man learns from his mistakes, but the wise man learns from the smart man’s mistakes. 

I think the most common question I get from people who know I make kandi is how I get the perfect kandi knot. Although I’d love to be able to just use one knot, the reality is there isn’t any one “perfect” kandi knot. It’s all about knowing which knot to use in what situation. Here is a list of some of my favorite kandi knots!

After last year’s disappointment with the cancellation of EDC Tokyo 2016, the time has come, my ninjas. The coming of EDC to Japan can mark a big introduction of a more electronic dance music culture presence here in Japan. Big news!

Camping festivals are a world of their own. They are my favorite; the vibes are unbeatable, and the party never stops. As a result of my obsessing for the next camp out, I prep early and excessively. As a result, here are some tips learned through trial and error. There’s a LOT to be said about camping fests, so I’m going to try to brief and keep an eye out for more in the future! Here are some words of advice focused on picking a campsite, sleeping soundly, and bringing food. 

Instagram is a powerful social media platform that connects ravers from all over the world through beautifully presented photos. I love going through event hashtags to reconnect with ravers I had met and traded with when I forget to exchange contact information. Sometimes you’re meant to only cross paths with a person once, but sometimes those small interactions blossom into friendship. 

First time ravers have so much to look forward to! Being at a rave is such a unique experience, and everybody always remembers their first one. But sometimes going to your first rave is so different than anything else you have ever been to and you get so overwhelmed with excitement that you aren’t always fully prepared. Don’t worry, we love to make sure all the rave babies have the best time possible. 

We’ve all been there, you’re raging your face off, giving light shows and spreading the good vibes when suddenly, something goes wrong. Maybe it’s that boiling hot water your friend just brought back? Or maybe you or a member of your crew is straight up lost. Well no worries we’ve got you covered with some simple and easy festival hacks to help you out. Whether you’re a veteran or a rave baby, these will be sure to help you out.

What started as a small party on a family farm has since grown to become one of Canada’s most beloved festivals. From August 7 -10, Shambhala will take place on that same farm, but its family has expanded to a sold out crowd of over 10,000 each year.

Most festival goers buy general admission or GA tickets. Every event that I have ever gone to, I have always had a general admission ticket. Only the lucky few have the resources to shell out hundreds more for a VIP ticket. I mean general admission is already expensive as it is. Add in travel expenses, outfits, drinks, and so on – it definitely adds up quickly! I never thought twice about getting a VIP ticket, but this year for EDC Las Vegas, some of my friends waited until the last moment to buy tickets and all that was left were VIP tickets.

Many say that your crew is the most important thing when you go to an EDM event. While I agree that many of my best nights are thanks to the amazing people I was with, it is also incredibly frustrating whenever my friends don’t want to go to see the same artists that I do. What happens then is that I'd end up missing those artists. I’m sure this is a pretty typical #raverproblem.
