EDC Las Vegas is just around the corner, and with the special rescheduled October date, things might look a little bit different on the strip and in Downtown Las Vegas compared to how they usually look in May when EDC takes place on a regular year. With that being said, Vegas is fun any time of year, and the new October date means that you get to experience Vegas during spooky season, so it's a great excuse to wear costumes out and about. Here are five things to do in Las Vegas during EDC week, either to prepare for the festival or enjoy the city while you're visiting.

Visit the Lux Rave Pop Up Shop
Forget something vital for EDC? iHeartRaves has you covered once again with the annual Lux Rave pop up shop at the Luxor hotel. The store offers 10,000 square feet of last minute rave shopping starting May 15 until May 19. You can also stop by and pick up flow toys and gloving gear from our partner store, Emazing Lights, and other clothing from INTO THE AM. RSVP here.
Check Out the New Meow Wolf Omega Mart Exhibit
There is no better way to get in the trippy spirit before EDC than at Omega Mart. The brand new Meow Wolf exhibit opened earlier this year at Area 15 just off the Las Vegas Strip. The psychedelic art installation takes you through a fever dream of a grocery store concept before you're sucked into an alternate reality. Set aside a night to check out this installment and the other activities at Area 15 before the festival begins.
Visit a Las Vegas Club
Few things in Vegas are as famous as the nightlife. Even outside of EDC week, the club scene in Vegas has a little something for everyone. There's always the top clubs, like XS and Encore Beach Club, as well as Omnia, Hakkasan and the two newest clubs at the all new Resorts World Las Vegas, Zouk nightclub and Ayu day club.
Explore Downtown
Downtown Las Vegas may not have the glitz and glamour of the Las Vegas Strip, but it does have local favorites like a killer bar scene, the Downtown Arts District, and some of the original Las Vegas landmarks we all know and love. The area is also home to Life Is Beautiful festival, which takes place each September.
Celebrate Las Vegas Pride
Las Vegas is extremely hot in the summer, so many events that usually take place around then are moved to the spring and fall. Las Vegas Pride takes place in October, and although the bulk of the event is during the second weekend of October, there are still plenty of ways to celebrate Pride Month outside of the official festival. Catch a drag brunch on the strip or visit one of the many gay bars around the city.
