All right my Canadian ravers, it’s time to buckle your seatbelts because this summer we’re jumping past the bad vibe villains and anti-PLUR plot and skipping right to our happily ever after. That’s right, we’re headed straight for Ever After Music Festival. (Hell = yeah).
Ever After is a magical three-day event that transforms Kitchener, Ontario into a euphoric fairytale of bass and good energy. The fifth annual fest takes place this year from June 7-June 9th, 2019, providing a full weekend of magic. Ready to embark on our epic summer quest? Here’s everything you need to know before setting off:

The Lineup
If you’re ready to be entranced in a spell of epic beats, then your chariot (or shuttle bus) awaits. Ever After has a stacked lineup this year, mixing in a dynamic variety of artists with a heavy emphasis on bass. No matter your flavor, you’ll find the perfect musical escape to feed your soul. Personally, I’m beyond stoked to see Chris Lake’s name on the lineup list. I saw one of his sets last year and it was one of the best times I’ve ever had at a show. His dope beats and incredible energy had the whole crowd vibing, so I’m pumped to catch another one of his performances. Headliners, Kill the Snails (Kill the Noise with back-to-back Snails) are also on my radar for a must-see set, along with Excision (meet me at the rail, we’ll headbang our hearts out) and Illenium (get ready to dive into a pool of all the feels). I’m also really looking forward to catching Feed Me, Malaa and Zomboy. All around, this lineup is killer.

The Accommodations
One major bonus of Ever After fest is the wide variety of accommodations. The fest has partnered with Unity Travel to provide its Adventurers with a wide variety of accommodation options and travel packages, all rolled up in one quick and easy layout. (Because who likes when things are more difficult than they need to be)? Whether you’re a wilderness-loving camper or prefer the comfort of a hotel, there’s options available for everyone’s comfort level.
For my campers:
Ever After has elevated their camping game this year. The fest offers options for every style of camper, from traditional tent camping and CUBE hassle-free tent rentals (with furniture, bedding and floor plan options), to more luxurious camping styles such as cabins, containers and RV lots. Personally, I think the container camping option sounds wicked, and is definitely a must-try. Campsites are offered both on and off-site, all within walking distance of the festival gates. For my hotel-goers:
Outdoor living not really your style? No worries, Ever After offers some awesome hotel packages. I’m particularly pumped about the hotel takeover options. There’s nothing more fun than getting hyped and vibing with fellow festies, so having a new squad of Adventures all in the same hotel sounds like the perfect party warm-up. Worried about travelling from the hotel to the fest and back? Don’t be, Ever After has shuttle options running daily. What’s a magical journey without a handful of mystic treasures? Ever After provides a festival experience like no other, with a little help from the creation of their enchanting Five Wonders:
1. Mystifying Campgrounds:
As mentioned above, the wide variety of camping options are a huge bonus with this fest. Grab your festie-besties and explore, play and stay in the whimsical wilderness and unlock all the secrets this fest has to offer. Camping packages are available for festival members 19 + years of age.

What’s a mystical adventure without a splash of magic (AKA water) to help you cool off? To me, the perfect summer experience isn’t complete without a dip in some sparkling waves, so I’m really looking forward to diving into Splash Island. The fest’s waterpark features a wave pool and various water slides, so you can slip and slide in between sets. Open to all adventurers until 8pm every night.

I think I may have just discovered Wonderland, and it’s located right inside the festival. Filled with carnival rides, themed activities and games, Mad Hatters Playhouse looks like my exact cup of tea (full pun intended). I’m a huge sucker for carnivals and amusement parks, so my inner child is ready to rage. Mad Hatters Playhouse is definitely the cherry on top for this fest.

Keepsakes and mementos are a huge must for me, especially when remembering something as close to my heart as a festival. Vendor village is filled with a beautiful collection of vendor tents and food options, making it a definite must-visit during this event.

If you’re looking to explore the festival like the true royal you are, the Royal Grounds are calling your name. EAMF offers Royal Grounds filled with elevated viewing areas, private washrooms and bars, a chill zone, massage therapy services and more. House Rules
- Ever After is an all-ages event, but Adventures under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
- You must be 19 + years of age for alcohol/VIP. Photo ID is required, so don’t forget your ID in your hotel room/campsite!
- There is a zero tolerance policy at the fest for illegal drugs. If you are found intoxicated at entry, you will not be permitted into the venue.
- Every attendee will be searched prior to entry, with possible secondary searches performed at any time during the event.

Ever After is located just an hour outside of Toronto, at 425 Bingemans Centre Drive, Kitchener ON N2B 3X7.
Event shuttles will be running throughout the entirety of the event. However, if you prefer to bring your own vehicle on-site parking is available for VIP members only. For additional parking options and a Google maps location of the fest, click here.
