1. Plan your schedule in the app.
The Coachella set times don't usually come out until a couple of days before the festival. We're about a week out right now and they're still not out, but that is to be expected with any major festival—especially with the last minute lineup changes we saw this year. Use the Coachella app to easily plan your experience and set reminders for your favorite artists. You can add the artists you want to see before the schedule comes out, and then change things as you need to once it's been released. There are tons of other features in the app as well, but this one is the most useful for planning ahead.
2. Bring the necessities.
Everyone has a different opinion on what the necessities are when you go to Coachella, and what you need might change day to day. Here are a few things I always make sure to have in my bag at any festival, whether it's my hotel bag or the actual bag I take into the event every day:
3. Walk more in the days leading up to the festival.
I'm not telling you to exercise more in order to look your best at Coachella (though be my guest if you want to), but I am warning you to go on a walk or two before Coachella to give your feet a chance to get used to walking a lot. This is especially true if you work a desk job or just generally don't spend a lot of time standing up. Your feet will thank you later, and if you have a treadmill at home this is an excellent way to break in your Coachella shoes without getting them dirty.
4. Eat nourishing food in the days leading up to the festival.
Again, this is by no means weight loss advice. However, eating nourishing food in the days leading up to the festival will give you more energy and vitality once you're there. If you can continue eating pretty healthy while you're there—which is definitely possible since the food options at Coachella are pretty diverse—you're going to feel even better.
Lace Flowerfields Dress Outfit
5. Have meetups planned ahead.
Phone service at major festivals can be pretty bad, especially once all of the crowds are there. Plan meetups ahead of time or have a plan of action if you get separated from your group. Sometimes it's fun to go solo when you get separated, but not everyone feels comfortable with that. Have a plan figured out just in case.
Midnight Sparkle Sequin Outfit
6. Don't worry about not getting into parties.
A lot of people will try to tell you that Coachella is all about the parties, or that Weekend 1 is the only good weekend to attend. My first Coachella experience was during Weekend 2 and I didn't go to any parties and had a great time regardless. You're going to have a great time no matter what you do, just don't get caught up in the FOMO because someone on Instagram looks like they're having a better time.
7. Listen to new artists before the festival.
Part of the fun of Coachella is getting to see new artists and appreciate music you might not have checked out otherwise. Take some time over the next week or so to check out the artists on the lineup that you haven't heard before—you might just find your new favorite!
Lace Flowerfields Marabou Oufit
8. Clean your space so you have something to come home to.
I do this before any trip, but taking the time to clean your home as best as possible will make your return that much better. It's always nice to come home to a clean space—so at least make your bed and hide your dirty laundry.
9. Know what kinds of services are available to you at the festival.
There are tons of services onsite at Coachella that are only there to make your experience as easy and fun as possible. A free shuttle service in the camping area, for example, will take you to a nearby grocery store for supplies if you need them.
Other services like the medical facility are there to keep you safe and healthy no matter what, so don't be afraid to stop in for a band aid, advil, or even mental health services.
Coachella offers a special care and support service called Every One, which is there to offer mental health and support services for attendees throughout the event. There are trained Every One team members all over the festival, and even a tent for you to retreat to if you need some quiet or mental health support. These services are available to anyone that needs them (for free) and offer mental health and harassment support.
10. Don't forget to take care of yourself while you're there.
No one is saying you can't go hard at Coachella, but you should take care of yourself while you're there. Take some time to stretch your body—maybe do some yoga in the mornings, drink plenty of water throughout the day, and get as much sleep as you can.
11. Bring plenty of snacks.
Whether you're camping or staying in a hotel/Airbnb, you're not going to want to go get snacks in between while you're at the festival throughout the weekend. Stop and get some snacks on your way to the desert to have at your campsite or in your hotel room—even if it's just some drinks.
12. Plan extra time for travel.
Traffic at Coachella is no joke. Plan extra time for travel to and from the festival if you're staying in a hotel/Airbnb and even more extra time if you're in an uber or taking your own car. The shuttle service is a good way to get a pretty solid estimate on how long it will take to get there because it can bypass a lot of the individual traffic around the polo field, but even then you should expect it to take longer than any maps estimate will give you.
13. Overestimate your budget.
The one piece of advice I have for any trip is to overestimate how much you'll spend when you're there. Budget for drinks, impulse merch purchases, uber rides you don't expect to take, or other emergencies that may pop up. A lot of hotels will charge a security deposit during festivals, so it's a good idea to have a card that can cover that just in case.
14. Bring cash just in case.
Most festivals—especially Coachella—are pretty cashless these days. I can't think of too many scenarios where you'll absolutely need cash to get by, but it's always good to have just in case.

For a more in-depth look at what ur sun, moon and rising have to do with ur rave fashion sense, check out our rave astrology series linked in each sign below. If it's not linked, come back around ur birthday when we release each new sign.
Ur edgy af, babe, but you would never actually describe yourself that way. At the rave or festival you can probably be found at the techno stage, or leading ur rave fam to the next hottest artist. You enjoy attention and ur the life of the party, so when ur not dancing u might be talking to the headliner backstage. Or maybe u are the headliner—that's highly likely.
Signs in ur perfect rave fam: Leo, Gemini, Capricorn
Ur perfect festival: Ultra, Amsterdam Dance Event, Movement
You could not be bothered with anything that isn't luxury, and ur not afraid to say it. You know that splurging for VIP is worth it, and you won't settle for the struggle bus. It's not that it's beneath you, you just know that life is worth going all out for the things you love. Ur rave fam will find you lounging in VIP where you belong, sipping on top shelf cocktails in between sips of water or Liquid IV because you're not going to sacrifice a day to a hangover.
Signs in ur perfect rave fam: Virgo, Libra, Sagittarius
Ur perfect festival: Coachella, Groove Cruise, Tomorrowland

Ur the life of the party, Gemini! You're both the star of the dance floor and the bar area because you're either captivating an audience with your dance skills or your social skills. You probably go out several times per week and thrive in social environments, but you're never tied down to a group for too long. You thrive in bold prints and exciting colors. The more eyes on u, the better!

Ur the hottest person here, Leo, and u know it. Everything about you is perfect, from your outfit to your makeup to your attitude. People want to be around you, and ur content from this weekend is probably going to go viral on at least two social media platforms. U go to the rave to be seen, and that's ok, and if ur not onstage u should be.
Signs in ur perfect rave fam: Aries, Gemini, Scorpio
Ur perfect festival: HARD Summer, Coachella, Ultra Music Festival
Ur rolling up to the rave at precisely 9 pm ready to watch the sunset with ur rave fam before raging all night, Virgo. You had 4 outfit options for today but it's not because you went overboard, you're just always prepared for everything.
Signs in ur perfect rave fam: Leo, Scorpio, Capricorn
Ur perfect festival: Das Energi, Day Trip, Dirtybird Campout
U either met ur rave bae at a festival or u somehow always meet someone at every event u go to, Libra. When it comes to life, you want to try it all, see it all and do it all and the only thing ur afraid of is missing out. Ur probably at Burning Man, partying on an art car with a foreign billionaire, or ur at EDC raging to a genre u just learned about today.
Signs in ur perfect rave fam: Aries, Leo, Gemini
Ur perfect festival: Tomorrowland, Burning Man, Zamna Festival
Midnight Sparkle Sequin Outfit
It took a lot to get u to take a weekend off of ur second side gig, Capricorn. Everyone knows u as a workaholic but u love it, so it's not like ur burned out. Ur probably at the rave because it's time to celebrate a big occasion, like a birthday or ur latest promotion. But don't let people mistake your workaholic nature, you love a good rave and know that life is about balance—meaning you'll work your ass off so you can shake your ass off.
Signs in ur perfect rave fam: Aries, Gemini, Taurus
Ur perfect festival: Day Trip, Life Is Beautiful, Outside Lands
There's always that one person in a group that seems to know literally everyone, and that's u, Aquarius. Wherever u go u seem to run into someone and everyone loves u. That's probably because ur easy to talk to and everyone feels safe around u. Maybe you'll spend the night having a deep talk with a longtime friend, or maybe some of your favorite festival memories happen late at night the campsite and not the dancefloor.
Signs in ur perfect rave fam: Libra, Sagittarius, Aries
Ur perfect festival: EDC Las Vegas, Ultra Music Festival, Lollapalooza
Rolita Couture x iHR Forever Angel Pixie Baby Doll Outfit
Whatever is going on in ur life, ur not going to let that destroy this moment for u, Pisces. You're not riding the rail but you're probably in the middle of the dancefloor all night, letting loose and enjoying the moment. You feel ur emotions deeply, and that helps you connect to things like music and art when you can finally immerse yourself in it.
Signs in ur perfect rave fam: Cancer, Scorpio, Taurus
Ur perfect festival: Beyond Wonderland, EDC Las Vegas, Camp Bisco
]]>Here are some ways you can incorporate pastels into ur rave looks:
Wigs have become a huge trend in festival fashion lately, specifically pastel wigs. These are great because they can totally transform any outfit. You can wear all neutrals and use a pastel wig to take your look to the next level, or cover yourself in pastel from head to toe. Wigs can come in more natural colors with pastel highlights or all-over color. If you’re not ready to commit to a wig, you can also try pastel clip-in highlights!
Lunautics Dreamgirl UV Hair Extensions
Lunita x iHR Ultraviolet Pastel Hair Extensions
Two trends are better than one, right? Try combining mesh and pastels for an outstanding fit! You can really make the trend your own here depending on what you decide to wear under the mesh. Are you going to go with a pair of fun pasties? An underboob top? A bikini? The options are endless! There’s no shortage of pastel mesh to choose from, either.

Pink, blue and purple aren’t the only colors that come in pastel, but they’re definitely the most common. These colors pair beautifully together and remind us of our favorite sweet treat, cotton candy. This look can give off that soft girl aura that so many of us are loving right now. IHeartRaves has got you covered with the Cotton Kandi Cloud set. You can also grab a friend or two and color block these trendy pastels!

A great thing about pastel is that it comes in a ton of different prints. You can find something more feminine like butterflies or floral, or go for psychedelic and tie-dye. The patterns you choose can create a completely different feel for your outfit to match your energy.

]]>Don't worry! You don't have to settle for your old running shoes if you don't want to. We're not going to tell you that it's a good idea to wear heels (in fact we're actually very against that idea), but we do have some other ideas for footwear that will be comfortable and cute. Here are some shoe recommendations, tips, and tricks to keeping those feet moving down below!
And that’s just what these babies will do! Starting off with a mix of comfort AND style! Here we have these boots in an array of colors that will mix and match with just about any outfit you can piece together! In your everyday wear or for your next multi-day festival extravaganza!
Bad Decisions Knee High Zip Up Boots

Bad Decisions Knee-High Zip Up Patent Boots
Cat Walk Furry Knee High Boots
If you’re looking to spice it up a bit while taking baby steps from the ultra comfy sneaker, these kicks are the next level! They're not too high off the ground but they're still ready to rock in not-so-flat terrain. We’d recommend giving these guys a try!
Now that we’ve gone over some of the options to stay warm let’s move on to some adorable choices that will let those toes get some air! They also just happen to be some of our personal favorites for when we want to add some flair to some swimwear, sundresses or any outdoorsy Summer event! Cuz who says we can’t be chill with a dash of being extra AF on the side?
Demonia Drive Me Crazy Wedge Sandals
No, no! We’re kidding! Please stay and dance with us! These statement pieces have been a staple in Festival Fashion, and we can’t get enough of them! If you’re looking for that Insta-picture-perfect kind of vibes, look no further!
As we all know, how you choose to express yourself through the EDM scene is entirely up to you and your comfort levels! Whatever you decide on, be sure to test out how comfortable your footwear may (or may not) be and try wearing them in before full-sending it with a new pair at a show! (Ouch!)
Bringing along some extra pairs of socks, trying out some shoe inserts, and stocking up on Band-Aids is also a hot tip we would most definitely recommend in staying prepared! See you out on the dance floor, babes!
]]>Getting to Coachella is tough. If you've managed to snag tickets already you were probably an overachiever in high school, but if not there is still hope for you. Aside from the tickets, there is a lot more to figure out and plan, but we've got you. Here is your Complete Coachella Planning Guide for 2022.
Coachella was famously one of the first festivals to do two weekends in a row with the same lineup. The two weekend-event lets more people attend the festival, and creates a different vibe for each weekend. The lineup is the same on both weekends, so you can go to either one and have more or less the same experience, but many people agree that Weekend 1 is best for celebrity sightings, special guest appearances and generally newsworthy surprises.
Tickets to Coachella tend to sell out almost instantly. Weekend 1 usually sells out faster than Weekend 2, so even now there might be some tickets left for the second weekend if you're thinking about taking the plunge. Once individual tickets are sold out there are usually other options for getting tickets directly from the Coachella website (which is obviously the most trustworthy way to get tickets). I recommend checking out the hotel + ticket package options if you have a group of 2 or more interested in going.
The pass buying guide on the Coachella website will give you all of the information you need on how to get tickets.
Once you get tickets you'll need to secure a shuttle or camping pass separately. I recommend making your decision on where you're going to stay quickly, since hotels fill up fast and camping tends to sell out almost as quickly as the tickets themselves.
Lace Flowerfields Marabou Outfit
Let’s talk logistics. Although Coachella is a different beast than most festivals, you can take your existing festival expertise and apply it to how you prepare for Coachella as you find hotels or AirBNBs, plan your camping experience, or figure out the shuttle system. Perhaps there’s someone in your group that already has this all covered (lucky you!) but in case you don’t, here is what I would focus on first:
Hotels vs. Camping vs. Airbnb vs. RV
Camping: There are MANY camping options at Coachella, including but not limited to car camping (not to be confused with preferred car camping, which puts your car closer to the venue entrance), tent camping and for an astronomical price, including a ticket to Mars (kidding but maybe in the future that’ll be a thing!) – GLAMPING.
The camping options tend to sell out faster than the blink of an eye, so these options may not be available if you're planning a last minute YOLO trip. Bringing us to your next options or, maybe your first, (depending on the type of person you are) we have: off-site camping (which includes campgrounds vetted by Coachella) and hotels that double as shuttle stops.
Staying in a hotel is a great way to do Coachella, but keep in mind that the Palm Springs/Indio area is quite large, so you'll want to plan ahead on how you'll be getting to and from the festival. This also applies to AirBNB stays, which might even be a little more complicated since most of the shuttles go to and from hotels. An AirBNB is certainly a great option, and I would recommend finding the closest hotel shuttle stop to your AirBNB if walking to a shuttle stop is an option.
There are three main areas you'll have to choose from when picking a Coachella hotel or AirBNB since the Coachella valley is pretty big. You can stay in Palm Springs, the iconic town with lots of luxury hotel and resort options, and a lot of things to do outside of the festival. There are several hotels with shuttle stops in Palm Springs.
Your next option is to stay in the Palm Desert/Indian Wells/Indio area, which is closer to the festival but doesn't offer much in the way of local attractions. This is a great option if you're only planning on going to and from Coachella, and the hotels may be a bit more affordable (though keep in mind all hotels will have inflated prices during this time).
Finally your third option is to stay a little bit off the beaten path in Desert Hot Springs, a town just on the other side of Interstate 10 from Palm Springs and probably the furthest from the festival. There are several luxury resorts and affordable hotels in this area, so it might be a good option for last minute trips.
This is by no means an exhaustive list on what to pack for Coachella, but here is a link to what is and isn't allowed at the festival on the Coachella website, as well as some details on what to expect from the weather and outfit inspiration. I always recommend packing extra clothes to any festival, including some more comfortable options.
Weather in the Palm Desert.
Indio, California is the literal desert SO, although you are in sunny, beautiful, amazing California, you WILL definitely experience some pretty significant temperature drops at night. The Palm Desert is pretty hot in the day, so make sure to pack sunscreen, sunglasses and a cute festival hat. At night the temperatures can drop down to the mid to low 50’s, so you’ll definitely want to bring some layering options and blankets if you're camping. Check out our selection of outerwear to help put together an epic yet functional outfit!
This is the thing that so many people (I would definitely not exclude myself) tend to obsess/dream/freak out/have nightmares about - and with good reason. I’m not going to lie and say that fashion isn’t a big deal at Coachella because it’s basically like the MET Gala of the music scene.
I truly believe that fashion is just an extension of who you are and should be used as a form of self-expression rather than this self-imposed pressure to be iconic at Coachella. Although a lot of people do show out for other festivals like EDC, Burning Man & Electric Forest, there is just something so different about the fashion at Coachella that is so unique and inspiring. Check out our guide on What to Wear To Coachella for more fashion inspo!

Coachella is pretty damn big on keeping everything very sustainable and eco-friendly, so much so that they partnered with a company called Global Inheritance to ensure that festivalgoers leave no trace and create a conscious experience for all. Read more about what it means to leave no trace here.
Getting around the Palm Desert:
Once you’re in the Palm Desert, there is definitely no shortage of ways of getting around. It’s worth it to peruse their “Getting Here” section of their website where they outline pretty much everything you need to know regarding travel. Here are some of the common travel options:
The Coachella site provides a small list of airports, the first of which is the Palm Springs Airport. This airport is by far the closest (25 miles from the festival), with LAX being a close second, but you can also fly into Orange County, Burbank or San Diego but that’s quite the hike!
Although extremely convenient, flying into the Palm Springs airport may not be the most budget friendly, so make sure to do your research and hop on those deals quickly! If you do fly into any of the Los Angeles airports, expect to drive about 2 hours east on Interstate 10 to get to the Palm Desert. There are shuttle options through the festival, but you can also rent a car.
Or, you could try out a little thing called Carpoolchella: a reward system set up to incentivize Coachella attendees to minimize their carbon footprint by driving to Coachella together! Those who have done so in the past have had their entire passes upgraded to VIP FOR LIFE. No joke! It’s definitely worth looking into!
A few extra things to keep in mind to make the most out of your weekend:
Outfit planning for Coachella is almost as serious as going to the festival itself. Most people opt for a bohemian look to match the vibes of the celebrities that attend the festival each year, and others lean into their own personal style to create something totally unique. Coachella isn't really a rave but it does have a stacked lineup of EDM acts across several stages. This year the festival is bringing back Swedish House Mafia for all of us to live out our 2013 raver dreams. Too bad we don't sell furries anymore.
Check out our ultimate guide on how to go to Coachella for everything u need to know about getting to the desert.
No matter your style, the point of any festival is to have fun and be creative. Here are some of my favorite pieces when planning what to wear to Coachella 2022:

“EDC” is the nickname for the Electric Daisy Carnival, which is actually the largest electronic dance music festival in North America. Held each year in Las Vegas, Nevada, the three-day event has more than 400,000 people in attendance, which means it is one of the largest music festivals in the world. If you overhear someone talking about EDC, they’re most likely referring to EDC Las Vegas, but there are other locations around the world now as well. Today, the world of EDC festivals are held in the following locations:
Due to its location in Las Vegas, the weather for EDC is notoriously hot, and even moving the festival to October temporarily is unlikely to change that. It’s important to choose your wardrobe carefully and plan ahead so that you can stay hydrated, cool(ish), and comfortable.
You can think of EDC like one giant neon carnival with incredible music, which is a pretty unique EDM experience in the first place, but it’s not just the lights, sounds, and sensations that make EDC unique. Here are a few facts about just what makes EDC so special.
Although there’s a lot of focus on what the lady ravers wear to festivals and raves, guys want to look good, too and have fit in with the festival style, especially at a festival as major as EDC. When deciding what mens rave clothing to wear, consider what we’ve just discussed about the festival: it’s hot, it’s filled with lights and colors, and it’s Vegas, baby! That means that not just any old rave gear will do. In addition to everything you’ll want to pack in order to look and feel your best this festival season, you’re no doubt going to want to hit the clubs while you’re out on the strip. You can find a comprehensive packing list from iHeartRaves on your cell phone or computer that you use on a daily basis, but you’ll find rave outfit inspiration for guys at EDC below.
Neon
The name of the festival fashion game for guys at EDC is neon, neon, and more neon. Bonus points if you’ve got glow-in-the-dark neon in your festival looks! Neon blends in to the “electric” theme of the rave, and the glow-in-the-dark features of your festival outfit will look extra cool against the lights and attractions throughout the festival. These can be included in your bandana, joggers, onesies, or crop top for the ultimate music festival outfit. EDC is all about bright colors and good vibes, so if your festival clothing reflects that, you’ll be good to go.
Spunion Rings Men's Camp Shirt
Chaos Commander Reflective Unisex Pants
Shorts
EDC is not the time to break out your new rave pants. It’s hot, so do yourself a favor and grab a pair of brightly colored shorts, like the String Theory Men’s Athletic Shorts from iHeartRaves. These brightly colored athletic shorts mimic the neon lights and energy of EDC and are comfortable, breathable, and ultra soft. Bonus points - they have pockets! We’ve even heard rumors that some people wear them to take a dip in those famous Las Vegas pools.
Tank Top
Wear a t-shirt if you’d prefer, but we think you’ll be the most comfortable in a tank top at EDC due to the heat and large crowds. Don't make the mistake of wearing only a hoodie, although it can be good rave wear for night time if it gets cold. Keep the neon and brightly colored theme going here too by choosing a tank with a fun print, glow-in-the-dark details, or bright colors. The Universal Love Glow in the Dark tank is one of our favorites, because black goes with everything.
Rolita Couture x iHR Super Trippy Tank Top
Master Headbanger Basketball Jersey
Hats
Protect yourself from the sun’s rays and keep cool by accessorizing with a hat, and why drop the neon theme now? You’ll be grateful you have it when the sun is beating down on you during your favorite set.
Recycled Material Headbanger Trucker Hat
Accessories
Make your outfit your own by adding accessories that reflect your personality, like a rave mask, ZOX straps, hydration backpack or kandi. Just because you’re a guy doesn’t mean you can’t - or shouldn’t - express yourself and get creative with your outfit. The girls may have the market cornered when it comes to hair accessories and body glitter, but there are tons of options out there for guys, too. Wear what makes you feel good!
EDC is an incredible experience, and the festival operates on the PLUR principle - peace, love, unity, and respect. Don’t worry about fitting in - just stay true to yourself and you will! To set your mind at ease, we’ve prepared a few tips for first time EDC attendees.
No matter what you decide to wear or which sets you choose to catch, EDC is a blast whether it's your first time at the festival or your fiftieth. It’s sure to be an experience you won’t forget!
]]>There are tons of parties to check out throughout Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley during the festival weekend. While some are more exclusive than others, parties like Day Club Palm Springs only require you to buy a ticket! Day Club is a great spot to check out if you're staying in the Palm Springs area and want to relax by the pool and enjoy a party before heading to the festival. Headliners range yearly, but you can expect a stacked lineup with artists that may or may not be on the Coachella festival lineup!
Lace Flowerfields Beaded Outfit
A Club Called Rhonda is another must-do party if you can check out any parties in the valley during Coachella weekend. Rhonda parties in LA are always a great time, and the annual desert event during Coachella weekend is a refreshing oasis away from the festival's hustle.
Yet another party that you have to check out if you're hitting the party circuit, Neon Carnival is one of the weekend's biggest events. With tons of installments to check out, music events, and a more rave-y vibe, Neon Carnival is your little sample of EDC at Coachella.

Where else do you go when you're at the height of the heat in the middle of the day? The Yuma Tent, of course. The Yuma Tent is your little dark, air-conditioned oasis in the heat of the Coachella desert. It's the perfect place to escape the heat and enjoy some of the best techno the Coachella lineup offers. Don't forget to make a stop here throughout the weekend.
Lace Flowerfields Dress Outfit
Of all of the stages at Coachella, one stands out with the most unique vibes. The Do-Lab is a pop-up stage at the back of the festival grounds that always has a party going on. Enjoy the good vibes, the misting machines, and the colorful tent as you bounce to house music and enjoy one of the most laidback parts of Coachella.
Lace Flowerfields Marabou Outfit
Another air-conditioned paradise, the Antarctic tent is a fun spot to check out as you explore the festival throughout the weekend. Usually tucked behind the food area next to the Coachella stage, this is a great spot to stop in as you investigate all the festival has to offer!
One of the things you absolutely can't miss at Coachella is the food. Some of California's best food spots bring their menus to the festival to make the weekend an ultimate experience for any foodie. Sure festival food might be expensive, but if you're going to treat yourself, treat yourself to fresh sushi, nutritious bowls, and artisan drinks!

Part of what makes Coachella so memorable is its art installments. The famous installments are a festival season staple, like the balloon arch that lights up at night or the giant rainbow walkway that stands tall in the desert. You can't miss the art, but take some time to walk around and check it out throughout the weekend—you won't be disappointed!
If you're into ferris wheels, check out the famous Coachella ferris wheel to get a bird's eye view of everything at the festival. We recommend checking it out both day and night to get a sense of the different vibes as the festival changes throughout the day. The line can be long, so grab a lemonade or a snack on your way and enjoy the good vibes as you sit back and relax and see the view!
Coachella is known for its brand partnerships, and if you keep an eye out you can get a lot of freebies throughout the weekend. American Express holders can usually expect some kind of perk or even a pop-up event to check out inside the festival itself, or keep an eye out for things like hair styling stations or makeup events inside the festival grounds. Different brands will bring different pop-ups every year, so keep your eyes peeled for what's to come this year!

Camping festivals can be really fun. Going on a road trip with your friends, setting up camp next to people that could likely become your new rave fam, and not having to worry about getting to and from your hotel for an entire weekend is something you just can't beat. But camping is hard, especially if you're not a veteran camper outside of the festival scene. After seven years of going to Burning Man—the week-long camping festival in the middle of a dry lake bed in Nevada—I've learned a secret or two about getting the most out of the experience. Here are my ten festival camping tips from a veteran burner:
You would be surprised how powerful the wind can be. Staking your tent down is an easy step you can take to avoid coming back to camp at the end of the night only to find that your tent is gone. Odds are low that someone stole it, but high that it could have blown away. This happened to a friend of mine who brought a large dome tent to Coachella and forgot to stake it down. Don't be like him!
You might not have access to a shower while you're at a camping festival. Even if it's just for a few days, all of that dancing and sweating will leave you feeling pretty gross after just a day. Freshen up with baby wipes in between showers to at least get the dirt and sweat off of you. Just don't drop them in the port-a-potties!
Burning man is a Leave No Trace festival, and while not every festival has adopted that same principal, it's a good idea to be mindful of how much waste you'll create while camping at a festival. Just in case you're stuck with a car full of trash bags on your way out, remove any excess packaging from things you're bringing with you before your arrival.
One of the easiest ways to pack a bunch of stuff without wasting space is to avoid using a suitcase and use a storage bin instead. For a three-day camping festival you'll probably be able to fit most of your things in a single bin, which can then stack easily in your car for easy packing. Plus, you don't have to worry about getting your suitcase dirty.
Electric Ecstasy Marabou Outfit
I've had years at Burning Man where I've brought too much food, and I've had years where I didn't bring enough food to last the week. Think realistically about how much you eat before you go grocery shopping for a camping festival, and maybe assume you'll eat a little bit less during the hustle of the weekend. Or, if there are food options available at the festival itself, maybe just stick to some snacks and avoid prepping meals altogether.
Like...all kinds of lights. Some camping festivals can get pretty dark in the camping area. Dirtybird Campout, for example, doesn't always light the camping area after it gets dark. Bring a flashlight to keep in your bag, or a headlamp for a hands-free light option (or both). I also like to wrap my tent in some battery powered LED wire (you can get it on Amazon) so I can easily spot my tent from far away at night.
Frolicking Fantasy Floral Sequin Outfit
I like to bring 3 pairs of socks per day just in case. You'll definitely want to switch your day socks off as you head into the night time, but I like to have an extra pair of clean socks for bed time just in case it gets cold.
Your tent is good for sleeping, but during the day you'll want a shade structure to chill in once it gets too hot to sit in your tent.
You're going to thank yourself if you bring camping chairs. Camping festivals are a 24-hour experience, so having a place to sit and chill when you're not dancing or exploring the festival is a must. You can even bring blow up furniture to save space in your car.
Shroomy Shimmer Marabou Outfit
It's easy to remember the things you're excited to use—like your new iHeartRaves outfits or your body glitter—but don't forget the necessities. Double check before you leave that you have any necessary tools to set up and maintain your camp. This can include things like a rubber mallet for your tent stakes (and your tent stakes), Duct Tape just in case, extra batteries, and an air mattress pump.
]]>In an effort to curate more passion and appreciation for the EDM community, artists Green Velvet, Dr. Fresch, TOBEHONEST, Kito, and BIJOU supported the mission of coming together in the name of music to enrich this Phoenician community. This special underground event attracted a collective to Warehouse 215 to celebrate an atmosphere of inspiration, connection, and hedonistic-good house music.
Veteran ravers: do you remember your first warehouse rave? Many ravers remember their first warehouse rave as an underground, one-for-the-books experience but nothing too luxurious. With your typical warehouse rave, the address on the event flier isn’t announced until 10pm, the warehouse has one A/C unit, everyone is drowning in sweat, and there’s absolutely little to no light–just music imposing as the atmosphere.
At Warehouse 215, it’s a grand, elevated experience. Eclectic yet underground, there were at least two chandeliers in every room, The Reading Room Stage had a bookshelf wall with succulents and books which embellished the ambience–it’s a warehouse-gone-glamorous!
Smaller venues like Warehouse 215 are notorious for bringing people together; sometimes there can be too much anonymity at festivals as it can be harder to recognize people you may know. If you can’t recognize your friends or artists among large crowds, you can’t expect to connect with others.
Three close-knit stages were planted in the rich, elevated warehouse: The Guild, The Reading Room, and The Cathedral. Spacious and close views of the DJ, every space-turned-dance-floor opened a sense of closeness between yourself, other ravers, and the artist.
As much as all ravers love the feeling of dancing at a massive stage, there’s nothing like being able to watch your favorite DJ make every move on the mixing board. It allows ravers to see artists’ facial expressions, movement, and production methods–a look inside artists’ personalities.
Without this small setting, ravers like myself wouldn’t have been able to notice Green Velvet’s stoic demeanor during “Sheeple” and “Jolean." He doesn’t introduce himself to the crowd on the microphone or have a facial expression unless it's his signature smile widening from ear-to-ear as the last sound leaves the speaker and his set concludes.
BIJOU is one of Arizona’s most prolific and cherished DJs while highly regarded among both g-house and bass house, especially after winning the 2023 Bass House Song Of The Year Award from the Electronic Dance Music Awards for “I know” featuring Marten Hørger.
Since he’s involved with his local community and EDM scene, fans were ecstatic to hear him mix “Gang Gang” and “Losing Control” by OMNOM . “Something for your mind, your body, and your soul”, BIJOU sampled “The Realm” by C’hantal and it felt like a guided meditation to “pleasures of the higher sense."
Soon after that, Dr. Fresch couldn’t help himself from jumping on stage to play a mini B2B with his best friend and played their collaborative tracks like “Hello (Gangsta $hit)”. Biased towards loving bass house to the ends of the earth, this was my favorite performance of the weekend.
Dr. Fresch was halfway through his set when he said, “We’re not going home until we decide on a song we like” and proceeded to bring a multitude of other artists on stage for a B2B2B2B2B… If you were standing on the outskirts of the stage entrance, you could see a train of DJs at the right side of the stage approaching the decks, taking turns in an order right after the other.
Some of those DJs were No Thanks, Garrett Murphy, Burman, and BIJOU. It wasn’t until Dr. Fresch ended his set by announcing there were twenty DJs who joined him on stage–what a party! By now, you could imagine the immaculate, tastemaking yet various styles of house music emitting from those speakers simultaneously.
Community, art, and love were pillars of inspiration for Thomas Turner, Founder of The Phoenix Warehouse Project. The three foundational pillars of this project have one commonality: coming together. Setting the intention of celebrating music and dance, local artists like AVITAS, Peachy Keen, and other creatives were seen reconnecting and frolicking to each other’s performances; artists hopped off stage for fans or friends to shake hands and snag a quick picture.
The Weird And Wonderful Cast gave hypnotizing performances on both nights, so much that people would stop dancing to watch the coordinated dances before them. Visual artists Nonotheartist and Rami completed a live B2B painting for the VIP section for surveyors to witness the work in progress which shows warehouse raves have the potential to be immersive!
Smaller venues/events open the possibilities of meeting your new best friend or sharing kind words with your favorite artists–it keeps the PLUR and inspiration going around. Plus, who doesn’t feel more passionate about EDM, happy to connect with others, and pursuing your own passions after a memorable event?
If you couldn’t attend the kickoff weekend, don’t worry! You still have the chance to embark on Arizona’s epitome of community and artistic expression with Phoenix Warehouse Project’s next event: Walker & Royce featuring special guests Westend, Cloverdale, and Dillon Nathaniel on May 3 at Warehouse 215. Buy your tickets now before they’re sold-out! ]]>This year’s lineup creates its own altered orbit as it incorporates more B2B performances and completely new names to ever appear on the lineup. Night 1 debuts Seven Lions, NGHTMRE, goddard., and SABAI to begin your journey across the galaxy! NIght 2 continues the trip to the moon and back with artists Kaskade, Dr. Oliver Tree, Alleycvt, Apashe, and more for this annual diamond planet experience.
Both nights will feature must-see B2B performance from JOYRYDE B2B Habstrakt and Deorro B2B Valentino Khan in their rarest form of fusing their sound to create an out-of-this-world performance you can’t find at every major festival.
Three stages (or flying saucers) will station on the raceway: The Mothership Stage AKA the main stage, The Fallout Silent Disco, and The Invasion Stage. The Fallout Silent Disco presented by Evo Vapes highlights local house and bass artists such as PRETTYHARD and Dominatrix to name a few–words to the wise: there’s a disco ball on the dance floor at this particular stage!
Similar to last year, Beatbox showcases The Invasion Stage with more local artists like BLVCKROSE and Seppi. The classic Voodoo Ranger 1UP Arcade should be a stop on your trail to the Milky Way if you’re in the mood to play games, win games, and try their new Hardcharged Tea!
View the full lineup to plan your performance schedule now. Single-day passes are available starting at $80, while two-day passes are priced at $150.
Ticket and hotel packages are unavailable for this event. After landing at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport (PHX) and checking into a nearby hotel, a 30-minute uber ride is required to arrive at Phoenix Raceway. Goodyear, Arizona is a neighboring city with plenty of hotels and access to ubers/rideshare. In fact, Goodyear is closer to Phoenix Raceway than Phoenix.
Arriving and exiting the event with a designated driver and vehicle is the best case scenario for transportation as parking is always free; premium parking is available. Plus, uber rides may become too expensive at 2am or not enough drivers are able to complete your transformation request (speaking from experience).
Relentless Beats offers shuttle packages for roundtrip transportation from Downtown Tempe which is 25 minutes away from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. If absolutely necessary, it can be wise to buy a shuttle pass and request an Uber transportation from the shuttle stop in Tempe because Tempe is a college town with many Lyft/Ubur drivers ready to bring you home! Single-day and 2-day shuttle passes range from $49-$75.
PHXLIGHTS attendees partake in their own secret handshake in festival fashion as it encourages the alien, astronomical, and extraterrestrial lovers to dress for this otherworldly theme! If you’re wearing neon green like the skin of an alien, antennas as a space robot, or astronaut suit like Neil Armstrong, you know the secret handshake!

Wearing alien-inspired greens is the go-to choice for many, but who says you can’t dress up like the sun, a star, or even a planet? If you’re going for a futuristic vibe for this champagne supernova of a festival, iHeartRaves’ limited edition Digital Dojo Halter Top and matching Digital Bell Bottoms will make you feel like you’re from 3024!
For those with the ethereal souls as nebulas or shooting stars, the Rolita Couture x iHR Forever Angel Pixie Baby Doll Dress will allow you to shine under the lasers. Alien allies, you’ll look spot-on with this green Ignite My Fire Fishnet Bodysuit or any clothing item from the Trippy Treats Collection.
]]>So that's how I approached Get Lucky 2024. I had no expectations, and yet I left excited and inspired with a few new favorites to add to my Spotify library.
I've heard that there are unique challenges in a smaller festival market that bigger festivals don't often see. One of those challenges is balancing a lineup with enough new acts to make the event feel exciting and fresh for veteran ravers while appealing to a wider market with massive headliners.
This challenge is clear in a lineup like Get Lucky, which balances massive acts that have been around for years—like Dillon Francis, Flux Pavilion, and Destructo—with niche or up and coming artists like Cannabliss or Koven who have been making their way onto lineups at some of the major festivals around the globe. This balance brings together a bit of nostalgia and discovery, and made the overall Get Lucky experience feel easy to navigate. Since each stage kept to one genre throughout both of the nights, you could easily identify which artists you wanted to check out based on who the respective headliners were.
Then there are the legends. Throughout the two days of the festival I had heard consistent chatter and excitement for the closing set from Chase and Status on Saturday night. Fresh off the win of the coveted Producer of The Year Award at the Brits for 2024, excitement for this DJ set was unavoidable from just about everyone at Get Lucky—and it lived up to the hype.
I'm not going to say DJ'ing is easy because I don't possess that skill personally, but I will say that when you hear a legendary DJ, you don't forget it. Flawlessly mixing together sounds to build excitement and energy, Saul Milton (one-half of the duo who played at the festival that night) is a master at crowd manipulation. After seeing one of the most memorable DJ sets I've seen in years, it will be hard for other festivals to beat Get Lucky on my list of favorite festivals of 2024.
Salt Lake is small—at least by comparison to larger cities like LA and Miami. There aren't many festival venues available, and there are even fewer venues that will let an event go later than midnight. That leaves The Great Saltair as the preferred venue for events like Get Lucky and other electronic music festivals throughout the year. While it has its drawbacks—like the long drive out to the Great Salt Lake—it's still a beloved venue with enough space to hold a large dance floor.
Get Lucky did a great job with adding art installments, vendors, and attractions to make the venue fun to explore. No area ever felt too crowded—even at the rail—and there was never a line that was more than a couple of minutes long.
Even though it's still technically a winter festival, Get Lucky ushered in the start of festival season with positive vibes all around and some fun memories that will be hard to top this year. On Friday Night Dillon Francis brought out a cop onstage to celebrate the release of his new song "Bad Cop" with VINNE, and the crowd's excitement throughout both nights showed that a festival like Get Lucky, which showcases several genres across dance music from house and techno to drum and bass.
]]>EDC Mexico was first celebrated in 2014, but the first time I was there was in 2017. Since then, I fell in love with the community, and no jokes, it changed my life. There were supposed to be 10 EDC’s, but because of COVID-19, the 2021 festival got canceled.
One of the things I have noticed is that EDC MX has been growing throughout the years. At first it brought together ravers from all across the country, and then, from all over the world. This was the first time the festival was sold out.
At its beginning, EDC Mexico was a 2 day festival, but in 2020 one more day was added. Now, EDC MX is the second biggest EDC in the world, right after EDC Las Vegas.
Renowned artists performed this year giving the public a taste of every genre as Carl Cox, Paul Van Dyk, Yellow Claw, Zedd, Rezz, Virtual Riot, Armin Van Buuren, Skrillex…. This last one was one of the most anticipated DJ’s of the Mexican public. Also, Insomniac gave the opportunity to new productors to execute on stage and show off his work, including national and international talent.
There were some surprises prepared for this year's festival, one of them was the set of Deorro, who showed up as EDC special guest which made the crowd get mad.
EDC Mexico has 6 main stages: KineticFIELD, CircuitGROUNDS, NeonGARDEN,WasteLAND, MIXX STAGE (In this one usually sounds latin rhythms) and StereoBLOOM.
With a reduced version of AWAKENING (The same that was used at EDC Vegas), the balance with the technology and the fantasy made the KineticFIELD a magic experience.
Art was presented with a sculpture of holding hands in the electric line and different works of art around the festivals shining in bright colors. EDC MX starts during the afternoon, so the experience during the day and during the night changes completely. The location is huge, so there are ornaments all around.
There’s no camping, but there are some free attractions and activities: Glitter and hair station, Photo Booth, mechanical games, slides, etc. All included with your GA; fun fact, in EDC Mexico you can buy tickets per day.
All are welcome here! And when I said that, I meant it. EDC always felt like home to me. I’ve been to Vegas and there’s no doubt about the magic of the festival and EDC MX has the same thing. I’ve attended all the festivals in Mexico and EDC is my favorite because the harmony feels unreal.
PLUR is alive, and you can see it. Everyone is enjoying music, smiling at you, willing to help you…
As a latin raver, I’m aware EDM brings us together as a family. But as a latin woman, I know that my latinos are warm, empathic, and know how to party! Mixing these two, make EDC Mexico an amazing place to be. You are welcome here, and we are excited to meet you!
If you were hungry, there were plenty of options to feed your stomach. There was a food court with tables where you could take a seat. During the weekend I ate a hamburger and some tacos, but that was only my preference. You could eat chicken wings, mozzarella sticks or even crepes! There were also people selling food in the aisles, so you were able to buy snacks from one stage to another, same with drinks. There were places designated to buy drinks, alcoholic beverages, soda or water. But there were also free water stations.
The festival was completely cashless, so if you wanted to buy anything, you needed to charge money (Using card or cash) to a bracelet which was the only payment method. There were stops for that, but one week before the festival, you were able to do that through the internet.
EDC MX every year has commemorative glasses, so once you buy a beer, you get one. In this edition, the glasses were for recycling, so the dynamic was that every time you returned the glass, it was given part of your money back.
That weekend, the Mexican government declared environmental contingency, so the first two days, there were no pyrotechnics. The artist used little papers that flew away and we barely noticed the absence of fireworks because of the lasers and the performers.
The last day, everything changed. The contingency was lifted and the opening and closing show was pure bliss. EDC is known for their fireworks show, and this time in Mexico, they took my breath away. It felt like a 10 year anniversary.
Congratulations for your first 10 years in Mexico City EDC, can’t wait to see you next year!
]]>With more than just ranking #1 on the charts, she swam, drowned, and caught her breathful song of passion in the underrepresented waves of pioneering a creative path in the male-dominated music industry. Because VASSY’s impact in EDM is an example for other aspiring female artists to affirm their creative path is worthy and possible to pursue, she was awarded the first female winner of the 2023 EDMA Icon Award.
Making monumental herstory (not history) and taking steps forward for EDM-womankind, the Queen of EDM has recently reconnected with her genre-defying sound in an effort to resurrect from her creative claustrophobia. The jazz-indie-pop-artist-turned-EDM-queen showcases Supreme, a 7-track LP of VASSY’s tastebreaking discography powering reggaetón-inspired ballads, victorious song titles, and most importantly, her strength in authentic self-expression.
I, Mary Mason, on behalf of iHeartRaves was granted the opportunity to celebrate Women’s History Month this March by discussing with this figure in EDM royalty about female empowerment, perseverance in the face of rejection, and joyful determination that flourished in the creative process of Supreme.
iHR: VASSY, thank you very much for your time! “Supreme” is a song of high self-confidence and powerful self-affirmation. It inspires me as a listener to look at myself as the apple of my own eye. How do you stay true to feeling like your most authentic self?
Vassy: By remaining true to myself despite feeling like ‘i don’t belong’ or not part of some click or club. I have always been a bit of an outsider in most things throughout life and that's ok with me because I have to live with myself so as long as I love what I see or love who I am that's what matters most. It also helps to have friends and family out of the business to be surrounded by people who do important things like save lives, screen for cancer, operate on animals, study marine life or climate change. Just try to keep a diverse group of friends and positive people around you that you can learn from and be inspired.
iHR: I would love to know more about your creative process for your newest 7-track album, Supreme! Why did you feel this was the perfect title for the album?
Vassy: I am in a Supreme state of mind and in a supreme part of my life. I say this because I feel supreme, I am supreme in the sense that I feel at peace with myself and who I am and what I do and who I have become. It is a supreme state of mine, an inner peace, it sets the tone for the album and where I am at in my life is a very supreme chapter.
iHR: Since Women’s History Month is happening in March, how have your female-led friendships/relationships shaped you into the woman you are today?
Vassy: I have a very diverse group of friends who are all amazingly beautiful strong women, some vulnerable, some emotive but all very strong. The women who raised me were all strong amazing women who had courage and took chances and were not afraid to speak up and be bold. My grandma, who we call ‘giagia’ its Greek for grandmother, was as tough as it gets, fought 2 wars, raised two daughters as a window on her own, raised cattle and ran her own agricultural farm… she was truly a hero to us all. My mum and my sister are both strong women. I am blessed to be surrounded by so many incredible remarkable women. I have many female friends who are proud of my success and I am proud of theirs, we support one another and hold each other up.
iHR: Being a woman in a creative yet male-led industry, how did you remain determined during moments of doubt or rejection before your music started to rise to popularity?
Vassy: My philosophy in life is that Rejections are simply Redirections!!! It is a very male dominated space in the dance world and at times it can be really frustrating for me and most women to have to deal with so many guys and their egos, we get bullied at times too by men where they probably would not have the guts to do that to a guy, we also get called bossy or Diva’s if we know what we want or say what we want where as boys can do the same and that's just called getting down to business.. There are double standards sometimes..it gets tedious ..…….as I say it may be a boys club but it's a woman's world!!
iHR: With positive, joyful song titles on Supreme like “Pursuit of Happiness” and “Good TImes Roll”, what inspires you to share the concept of happiness in your discography? I find it heart-touching by the way!
Vassy: Awww thank you I think because I was genuinely happy at the time that or i pretended to be lol but fake it till you make it!! Just kidding but also not, you know if the body leads the mind will follow ... .What I mean by that is if you believe in the laws of attraction philosophy in that if you say things in a positive way you attract positive energy. It is you who manifests your dreams and future as Kevin Costner once said in the movie ‘Field Of Dreams’ If you build it, they will come” In my mentoring i have always encourage kids to dream out loud and not be afraid to speak out their dreams and goals of who they want to be and what they want or want to become. So I try to also practice what I preach. Plus honestly it was so much bloody fun making this LP!! Playing with all the genres of music the freedom to be me with no pressure was invigorating.
iHR: From the bottom of my heart, congratulations on earning the 2023 EDMA Icon award! It was well-deserved and your impact is prevalent for many women (including myself) in EDM. How does it feel to be the first female winner of this award?
Vassy: Insanely amazing. I am an Aussie girl from a very remote little town up north in Australia where they shot crocodile dundee and grew up in an ethnic household with immigrant parents, I mean I had every obstacle you can imagine ahead of me to face including coming to America where i knew no one, had no one and was a no one all over again. I had to start from ground zero and build myself and become someone again to be noticed… and here I am a multi platinum Icon …If I can do it anyone can just have to believe in Yourself, put in the world. I feel proud to lead the way for many other female ICONS to come :)
iHR: Because you’re a beacon of inspiration for so many in the EDM community, what is one piece of advice that still helps you pioneer your music career today?
Vassy: Rejections are Redirections. Stick to plan A, once there's a plan B you have already compromised plan A. And remain authentically yourself.
iHR: “Our Moment” influences listeners to reclaim their inner personal power in empowering self-belief. Why was it important for you to write these strong lyrics?
Vassy: Because I am a huge advocate for Love is Love, all for one and one for all, equal rights we are one and soon… i bleed you bleed, i cry you cry, i eat you eat ... .the moment is now we have one shot at life our moment to be authentic to be alive to speak our truth.
iHR: From rainbow outfits and yellow feather capes, your performance outfits look so fun and expressive! What are your favorite clothing items or accessories you like to wear on stage?
Vassy: Haha, I love colors I am literally a rainbow child and i wish my super power was flying so i have a thing for feathers hahahah and no it's not some weird kinky thing, i love feathers because they are soft and natural yet powerful because of their ability to give you freedom and independence, each feather gives you the ability to fly, spread your wings and take off metaphorically speaking and literally.
iHR: What is next in store for you this year? Any upcoming project details you’re allowed to share with your fans at this time?
Vassy: Yes, my current single Krazy is #3 right now across the US at dance radio across the US, by the time you print this it may be #1, fingers crossed. My new single comes out and I have new releases coming out next month and in May plus shows in California, Australia and in Miami at the EDMA Awards.

I personally think that hearts are always in style, especially around Valentine's Day, but there are tons of heart styles popping up in rave wear these days, so it's definitely becoming a trend! Here are some of my favorites to pick from:

Fairy outfits and fairycore are always in style, especially in the festival scene. U can either dress this look up in a full on costume to channel ur inner woodland fairy, or u can put together parts of it to create a cute look with a fairy vibe. Here are some faves below!

There are tons of ways to add trippy prints to ur outfit, and the good thing about these styles is that they always go with the rave vibe so u can wear them for a long time. Here are some fave trippy prints that are in this year!
Reflective pieces are an awesome way to add texture and uniqueness to any rave look. The style has been around forever, but new pieces are constantly coming in that are changing the vibe. Here are some faves for 2023!

Robes go in and out of style when it comes to trend cycles, but in my opinion they're never a bad idea. These are great for when you want a light cover up but don't want to commit to a jacket, plus they look cute with ur outfit. Here are a couple of robes that just hit on the iHeartRaves shop, which are perfect for any vibe!

Laura van Dam: It's truly amazing that the team of 1001tracklists.com honored me with the label 'The Future of Dance,' it kind of feels like I've won my first award! The label means a lot to me, it’s a very nice compliment after putting in the hard work. Spending countless hours in the studio, day and night, experimenting and crafting my own sound and now being able to release my music via labels like Anjuna, Armada, Epic247 and AFTR:HRS, which allows me to grow and reach more people with my music every day. And of course, a big shout out to my awesome team for making it happen!
iHR: I always like to hear how artists describe their music in their own words. Tell us about your music - how would you describe it?
LvD: For me, music is like a story that unfolds from start to finish. I really enjoy melodic and progressive house because it has these amazing melodies and strong beats. I like a good catchy tune and I'm not afraid of a solid bass line and a deeper dark drop. Bringing all these ingredients together to create a musical journey that keeps me hooked.
YRU Dune X Blackout Platform Festival Shoes
"These platform shoes are a must for me! Because i'm not that tall so I can dance and see the audience haha"
iHR: What inspires you? Where do you begin when you produce something new?
LvD: In my own studio work I’m always inspired by classical music, like Ludovico Einaudi, for example. And also by other electronic producers, such as Joris Voorn, Yotto, and Meduza. When I start a new project, I usually start with a melody line that gets me in my creative zone and I close my eyes to feel if it connects with my heart. From that point on, I add more ingredients and build towards a progressive house or melodic techno or trance arrangement. My creative process is always about capturing pure emotions in my songs for myself and my audience to connect to.
iHR: Your mentor is Sander Van Doorn - how has that shaped you as an artist?
LvD: I have known Sander (van Doorn) for quite a long time. My past work for him as A&R for his Doorn Records shaped my creative vision as well. While working together Sander always gave me helpful advice on my own productions and gave me tips on how I could take my tracks to a higher level. His tips and advice throughout the years made sure my tracks sound solid at the clubs and festivals.
Pixie Prism Rainbow Reflective Fishnet Chaps
"This is how you rave, love these rainbow chaps!"
iHR: What have you learned from that experience that you would share with other up and coming artists?
LvD: This tip is general: make sure people notice you in the music scene. Go to festivals, check out clubs, those are often the best places to meet industry people in a fun and easy way. Be active on social media and let everyone see who you are as an artist and a person. Stay consistent, don't give up, and bring the world a unique music flavor of your own.
iHR: Tell us about your upcoming releases, what can we expect in 2024?
LvD: At the moment my latest single “Blow Up The Speakers” is being very well received, it got picked up by many legendary DJs across the board, from Armin van Buuren to Laidback Luke, while performing very nicely on the streaming platforms as well.
My next release is called “This Feeling” and it is coming out on International Women's Day (March 8th) via Enhanced Recordings. I remember that I played that track for the first time at Tomorrowland last summer, and I was just blown away by how the crowd responded to the track.
Also, Armin van Buuren just premiered my upcoming collab release with Ginchy, it’s called “Save Me” and is to be released via his personal imprint Armind in April.
Later this year you can expect new original music on Anjunabeats, including a very special remix I’m really excited about, and I have several really cool artist collaborations scheduled to be released for this year, which I can't wait to share with my followers.
iHR: Tell us about some of your upcoming shows. Which ones are you most excited for?
LvD: I'm just absolutely stoked for my 2024 touring schedule, there is still a lot to be announced. But obviously I am very excited to make my debut at Ultra Music Festival in Miami on the Worldwide Stage (A State of Trance stage) which is my childhood dream coming true.
Also, I’m very excited about playing the mainstage at A State Of Trance in Rotterdam and being back at Mysteryland festival in The Netherlands this summer. Also, I’m doing my first tour run to China and Australia in April, playing at Creamfields in Hong Kong and the new Hyperdome events in Sydney and Melbourne.
iHR: Coming from Europe, the European dance music scene can be much different from the US. What are some of the biggest differences you've noticed?
LvD: That's right! I just love the audience in the US; it has always been a dream to tour extensively there. When comparing the crowds in general, the European crowd might seem a bit more laidback while really enjoying the music and the moment, whereas the crowds in the US in general are really hyped, they go all out together and really live up to the moment.
iHR: Tell us about your rave or festival style:
LvD: I'm all about crop tops, high-waisted shorts, and statement sunglasses. Some days, it's a sleek, all-black vibe; other times, I'm diving into a burst of colors.
Tough Attitude Fishnet Crop Top
"This crop top looks cool and comfortable at the same time, that’s what I like :)"
iHR: Where do you look for inspiration when it comes to festival fashion?
LvD: Scrolling through Instagram, Pinterest and TikTok. Or checking content from big influencing festivals like Ultra of course.
iHR: What are some of your favorite festival or rave fashion trends?
LvD: I’m loving the trendy holographic fabrics because it makes you shine day and night and creative accessories like body jewels and cool sunglasses.
iHR: If you made a piece of Kandi today, what would it say?
LvD: Something like ‘Enjoy the moment’ or ‘live the freedom’ - Celebrating life together and meeting new people brings your life into the present, while dancing together creates moments of joy!
The key to nailing a neutral look is to keep it truly monochrome. The more colors you add, the more chaotic it can look. Stick to one earth tone at a time and dress it up with different accessories and accents in other ways.
Golden Hour Fringe Top and Skirt
When you pick a neutral tone to work with, you an add depth and dimension to the look by adding different textures and accents. Something with a neutral color that has complimentary embroidery can do a lot of the accessorizing work for you, or you can choose to add your own accessories to a simple fabric.
Bring out other earth tones like greens and floral colors with pieces that feature these colors as an accent.

One of the best things about Beyond is that everyone dresses up along with the theme. Everyone knows the accessories make the outfit, and rave fits are no exception.
Rave shoes are tricky because you want to go for both comfort and style. Platforms are a great way to do that, but they might take some practice. Check out our guide on how to wear platforms at festivals like Beyond Wonderland and shop rave shoes here.
]]>Curious Alice loves to check new things out and experience something unique. She's the one you'll find exploring the fest or dancing to an up and coming DJ she's never heard before. Her style is quirky but cute and comfortable enough to go on an adventure in.
Groovy Hearts Ruffle Halter Bodysuit
Sweet Serenade Floral Sequin Dress
Floral Fairy Sequin Fringe Top and Skirt
She's the baddest babe at the rave. A fierce leader and statement maker, the Queen of Hearts isn't afraid to take risks with her style. At the rave, she's most likely the one turning heads with a bold look and even bolder makeup—and she isn't afraid of the attention she'll get on the dancefloor.
Rad Romance with Charms Outfit
Rave wear is all about self expression, and no one does that better than the Mad Hatter. The Hatter is the one channeling their inner artist with quirky prints, fun colors, and bold accessories. On the dancefloor, the Hatter might be the one getting a light show in the back of the crowd, or they might be leading a dance on the rail.
Rolita Couture X iHR Super Wonky Flirt With Me Outfit
Mushroom Paradise Men's Camp Outfit
As the one who is always down to get trippy, the Cheshire Cat is the one at the rave who always seems to be having the best time. They're either up against the rail head banging all night or they're wandering around the fest exploring and taking everything in.
Recycled Fabric Swirly World Halter Bodysuit Outfit
Rolita Couture X iHR Super Wonky Punk Princess Outfit
Trippy Time Acid Smiley Outfit
The rave is the best place for two besties to coordinate fits. These two are the ones who are always matching and can never be seen apart. Whether they're on the dancefloor or in line to get chicken strips, they're together.
Just like any rave mom, the White Rabbit is the one keeping track of things at the fest. They always know which set list is the top priority and where to go next, and they're not afraid to round up the rave fam to go to the next thing on the list. Their style is a mix of comfort and fashion, but they're not afraid to go down the rabbit hole and get a little trippy in the garden.

Happy Hour Rainbow Reflective Speed Clasp Top
The true rave veteran is the Caterpillar. He's the one who has been raving since before u knew what EDM was, and he's seen it all. The Caterpillar is the one vibing at the back of the crowd.
]]>Passionate about stationing events solely in Downtown Phoenix, Phoenix Warehouse Project’s mission is to cultivate art, love, and culture to further their support of the local underground EDM scene. As the project partners with Warehouse 215 and other warehouse spaces, future events will surround cannabis, art, yoga, and of course, more (EDM) performances.
"With Phoenix Warehouse Project, we aim to add even more texture to an already culture-rich community in Downtown Phoenix by serving as a hub for art, love, and culture," says Founder of Relentless Beats, Thomas Turner.
The first weekend in March at Warehouse 215 commences the debut weekend for the passion project with Green Velvet, San Pacho, and TOBEHONEST on Friday, Mar. 1. Meanwhile on Saturday, Mar. 2, Dr. Fresch, BIJOU, and Black V Neck are set to perform one of the most special performances Downtown Phoenix has yet to experience. Glittering the atmosphere with their sparkle are The Weird and Wonderful troupe performances to elevate this warehouse experience.
Centralizing the notion of love as one of the three pillars of Phoenix Warehouse Project, a portion of proceeds from every purchased ticket is forwarded to Childhelp, a non-profit organization dedicated to preventing and treating child abuse. Imploring you to dance for a cause and provide support to others in every footstep under the disco ball until 3am, single and weekend passes are on sale now as well as VIP passes from $49-190. See you there and welcome to the underground!
Since it’s a smaller event, ticket/hotel and shuttle packages are unavailable at this time. After landing at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport (PHX) and checking into a nearby hotel, a 15-minute uber ride is required to arrive at Warehouse 215.
Because of limited parking in Downtown Phoenix, arriving and exiting the event with an uber ride may be your best option if you don’t want to pay for a nearby parking garage fee. Otherwise, valet parking service is available at Warehouse 215.
Anything and everything goes in the freeing environment of warehouses! When underground warehouse raves don’t contain a central theme like major festivals, it gives everyone the blank canvas of freedom of expression!
Sometimes, warehouse fashion consists of industrial-inspired outfits consisting of black wide leg pants, quintessential blackout sunglasses, and leather chain accessories such as iHeartRaves’ Gonna Show You Belt. However, I’ve seen the most experiential festival fashion at warehouses. In fact, I’ve seen ravers in full feather coats and LED butterfly wings!
Make your own warehouse fashion that feels special and unique to YOU! If you love the industrial look, YRUFO Mecha Chain Unisex Wide Leg Pants can be a great base for your look. Take a look at its match-made-in-heaven-pairing, the Bass Destruction Cutout Bodysuit–combine with your favorite footwear that allow you to dance for almost eight hours and you’re ready to sweep the warehouse with your best moves.
For some unknown reason, seeing ravers wear a variety of robes in their festival fashion is a serotonin boost, especially if they have vivid colors like the Trippy Tide Mesh Robe! Last but never least: ALWAYS spread PLUR wherever you are and the iconic Garden Gnome Sprouts Hair Clips 8-Pair Set graces you with the opportunity to share PLUR in a non-kandi way!
]]>Headliners for the 2024 Get Lucky Festival include names like Flux Pavilion, San Holo, What So Not, Destructo, Dillon Francis, Dr. Fresch, and Cannabliss to name just a few. The event takes place at The Great Saltair, which is located right on the Great Salt Lake and offers some killer sunsets. This year the festival is on March 11 and 12th. You can get tickets here.
If you haven't been to Utah in the early-Spring you should know that it is still quite cold. The weather isn't freezing, but it's definitely not warm. I recommend bringing a jacket to wear outside of the venue and around the grounds, as Get Lucky often has an outdoor tent that can get a bit cold.
The lineup vibes are all about house music, so wear something you can shuffle in that also goes with the green vibes of the festival theme. Here are some pieces from iHeartRaves that I recommend for Get Lucky Festival:
The lineup includes lots of artists in the house and techno genre. Whether you like techno, house, or are into seeing some live acts, CRSSD festival has it all. Check out the lineup below!
The venue is a green grass-filled dance floor surrounded by palm trees. The location is bayside which gives off some amazing vacation vibes. It also has water fountains and small pond areas where festivalgoers are allowed to go in to cool down or take a little break from dancing.
The average temperatures for that time of year range between 66-75 degrees during the day, and between 53-56 degrees at night. It can feel pretty chilly, so I recommend wearing a light jacket or long sleeve top/long pants.
The festival is full of some amazing food and drink vendors so you won’t have to worry about planning your meals before or after the show! All the vendors are a cashless payment option so make sure you bring your cards to make payments for your favorite tasty drinks or food.
There are also options to buy a single day or a two day locker rental if you would like to take a break from carrying your personal items, merch, or jackets. The lockers are priced around $20-$25 per day.
If you are driving into the festival, make sure you take some time to find some parking. There are not many places surrounding the area to leave your personal vehicles, but the venue is completely accessible by using rideshare options.
The venue is also surrounded by many hotels that are within walking distance, which will save you a lot of time trying to get your ride secured. The best options for hotels nearby would be Homewood Suites by Hilton San Diego Bayfront, Wyndham San Diego Downtown/ Bayside, Pacific Inn Hotel & Suites, Best Western Plus Bayside. These options are reasonably priced and no more than 5-7 minutes of walking.
If you’re traveling by plane the best airport to fly into would be the San Diego International Airport as it is only 10-15 minutes away. Everything in the San Diego metro area is pretty centrally located, so if you're flying in and staying in or near downtown, I wouldn't worry about renting a car.
Tickets for the festival start at $239 + fees, which includes two-day entry for both Saturday and Sunday. Single day tickets are also available for $130!
Check out our full guide on what to wear to CRSSD Festival here!
]]>This location is perfect to show off your cute outfits you’ve been wanting to show off a little more of, but still be able to layer up at night in your favorite long sleeve or jacket.
The average temperatures in San Diego are between 64-68 degrees during the day, and about 52-55 degrees at night. The ocean breeze makes it a little colder at night since the location is bayside, so plan accordingly. Our site is full of cute new styles of jackets, chaps and coverups for the lower nighttime temperatures.
When styling my rave outfit, I like to take my favorite matching top and bottom pieces and add chaps, or mesh pants to keep my legs warm. Then I like to add a mesh crop top, or long sleeve, to give that added warmth to your body, but still look amazing! Add it all together with your favorite accessories, and glitter!
Locker rentals are available onsite so you can always bring your favorite pieces from our collection and have them ready to go when you are feeling a bit chilly.
If you’re having some trouble finding ideas to wear, here are my top pieces that I would wear to CRSSD fest:

The good thing about Pisces season is that it comes right when we're heading into festival season, so there is a lot to be happy about. Here is a style guide for you rave babes with Pisces in your sun, moon or rising signs. If you don't have Pisces in your big 3, though, don't worry. I'll be posting a new guide each month so keep an eye out for next month when I go over you rave babes with Aries in your sun, moon, and rising.
You're an artist, Pisces, and you love to bring your emotions into the things that you create. At the rave, you're probably the one feeling all of the feels during Above & Beyond or getting your rage out at a dubstep show. Regardless of what genre it is, you're there to tap into your artistic side and feel connected with the art and the vibes around you. You could be into flow arts, or you could be the one going all out with glitter, rhinestones and makeup for the perfect festival look. Here are some picks I think you would love, Pisces.
Enchanted Butterfly Sequin Outfit
Like a Pisces Sun, you tend to be tapped into your emotional, artistic side, Pisces Moon. But the difference is that you don't wear your emotions on your sleeve. You feel the feels, but sometimes you're a little more low key about it. You might not be crying on the dancefloor to your favorite trance artists, but you're definitely deep in the music. You're there to feel all of the feels, and get lost in the dancefloor. Here are my top picks for you, Pisces moon.
Recycled Fabric Nostalgia Outfit
Your body may be on the dancefloor but you're in your head, Pisces rising. You're a daydreamer that understands the world around you, and you go to festivals and raves to feel a little bit of magic. You know that you can make anything a good time if you want to, which makes you so much fun to be around. Here are my picks for you, Pisces rising.

]]>Ultra Music Festival Miami will go from March 22-24 2024, and will take place in Bayfront Park, its iconic location. The annual all-electronic music event is filled with acts from just about every genre. With classic acts like Tiesto and David Guetta to up and coming innovators like Pauline Herr and Miss Monique, there is a little bit of everything for the OG ravers and the newcomers.
Tickets to Ultra Music Festival are very close to being sold out, so if you haven't gotten your ticket yet I would act quickly, since this festival sells out often. You can check out the full lineup below:
Getting to Ultra Music Festival is pretty easy compared to other festivals that might require a flight and then a long drive. You can fly directly into Miami International Airport which is a short drive from the Downtown area that the festival is located in. Miami is known for its hotel scene, so there are hundreds of places to choose from that fit just about any budget.
If you're looking to experience different parts of Miami while you're in town for Ultra, there are lots of options that will change the vibe of your trip. Here is a guide on the different areas that you can stay in while in Miami based on the trip you want to have. If you want...
There's no place like around downtown if you want to rage for all of Miami Music Week. Iconic clubs like Space and E11EVEN are just a few blocks away from Bayfront Park and are easily accessible to the hotels in the area. With lots of public transportation options and a centralized urban space, the neighborhoods around downtown Miami are perfect if you don't want to worry about getting around.
I recommend staying in Brickell or Wynwood for easy access to Ultra Music Festival and downtown Miami clubs. Brickell is a bit more upscale while Wynwood is known for its art scene. If you want to be right next to the festival, you can't get any closer than downtown hotels like the InterContinental Miami, the YOTEL Miami, or the YVE Hotel which are all within 1-2 blocks of Bayfront Park.
For easy access to the beach you'll need to stay in the Miami Beach area. South Beach has tons of cute and affordable boutique hotels and hostels, while North Beach has luxury mega resorts. Both areas have access to the iconic Miami Beach and are a fun place to stay if you want to hang out on the beach, bike around on a rental bike or just relax by the pool during the mornings.
At night Miami Beach is known for its nightlife, so there will be plenty to do if you want to keep going once Ultra shuts down. This area can get pretty busy with traffic since it's a small island so plan ahead as you plan how to get to/from Bayfront Park for the festival, and remember it's around a 20 minute drive without traffic.
Few cultures have left an impact on Miami quite like Cuban culture. If you want a unique but fun experience on your trip to Miami I recommend staying in Little Havana. Check out the street art and food options around the iconic Calle Ocho, and stay in one of the many affordable but picturesque hotels. The trip to Bayfront Park is around 18-20 minutes without traffic as the area is located just east of Brickell, and the area will likely be more affordable than Miami Beach during Miami Music Week.
Ultra concludes a full week of music events around Miami during what is called Miami Music Week. The event is partly for the industry as the annual Winter Music Conference usually takes place throughout the week, with events at night and around Miami for both music lovers and industry figures. It's a great place to network if you're trying to get into the music industry.
For the rave babes, events at clubs like Club Space and E11EVEN are unmatched. House and Techno deep cuts like Rebolledo, Maceo Plex and Drumcode are some of the acts that will play at Space this Miami Music Week, along with favorites like Diplo are also on the bill. These events are not included in an Ultra Music Festival ticket, but are worth checking out if you can get in.
The vibe for Ultra Music Festival is spacey, techno beach vibes. Does that make sense? Like, think Matrix meets beach club. Miami is pretty warm in late-March so you don't need to worry about layers. When you're packing, make sure to bring a swimsuit and lots of SPF along with you. At the festival itself, we have a guide to help you plan the perfect look for each day. Our Ultra collection features a set of pieces that are perfect for Ultra Music Festival Miami. Check it out below:
